David Lanster and Kelly Moran founded DK Culinary Ventures in 2013 as a platform for exploring their culinary curiosity. With a focus in experiential dining, they believe food can transcend simple nutrition to have far greater impacts. With that in mind, art, science, and social trends have all come to influence their style and create a unique, thought-provoking experience.

Past Ventures

AXIS: Art + Science

AXIS was our 2016 Traveling Dinner Series. Our 18 course menu featured new courses such as Solid Mojito and Winter in a Jar, and old favorites such as Pine Nut Risotto and Pork Cubism. Venues included Coral Gables Merrick House, LAB Miami, Miami Beach Botanical Gardens, Soho Beach House, Locust Projects, and Deering Estate.

Delicious Donations

Our 2014 Delicious Donations dinner series raised over $8,000 in support of Common Threads, a Chicago based non-profit which teaches cooking and lifestyle skills to underserved children.

Bake Your Day

Bake Your Day was a local, special-order baking company. Highlights of the menu consisted of lemonchello cake pops, creme brûlée cupcakes, and lavender whoopie pies. We’re always happy to bake up a cake if you’d like one!

Modern Taste of Italy

Our Modern Taste of Italy lunch was a collaboration with Daniel Mastagni of Trattoria Luna in support of Common Threads.
